Obituary of Heidi Edwards
Please share a memory of Heidi to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Heidi Kristen Edwards passed away in Oceanside, CA on March 18, 2012 at the age of 31 with her family at her side. She was born on May 21, 1980 in Huntington Beach, CA.
Heidi was diagnosed with cancer in December 2009. Later on she was diagnosed with a second type of brain cancer. During her battle she survived 2 brain surgeries, radiation and several bouts of chemotherapy. Her final wish was to go to the beach in California and take her family to Sea World. Thanks to family, friends and community we were able to fill that dream for Heidi.
Heidi liked going to church, going to the beach, surfing, watching her Chargers football games, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Heidi got the most out of life when she was helping and doing for others. She fought to find a cure for cancer. Her family meant the most to her and showed that on a daily basis. She truly was a woman of wisdom. She had dreams to change the world. She did the best she could with what she had. She was a woman of faith and she will be truly missed.
Heidi is survived by her loving husband, Aaron Edwards; son Keenan Edwards; daughter Grace Edwards; father and step-mother Mark & Beth Olson; mother & step-father Lisa Turner and Leo Gill; father and step-mother in law Jay and Richa Edwards; sisters Francine Olson, Kersti Gauld and Cierra Pollock; brothers Colton Turner and Tyler Olson; grandparents Cruz & Donna Figueroa, Chris Olson and Florence Smith and best friend Sumer Jimenez
Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 24, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with words of comfort by Pastor Chad Garrison.
