CHARLES DALE WILSON
Charles Dale Wilson passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2012 in Lake Havasu
City, AZ at the age of 60. Chuck, as he was known to his family and friends,
was born on November 4, 1951 in South Gate, CA to Dale and Ruth Wilson.
Following high school graduation, Chuck enlisted in the United States Army,
proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War from May 23, 1969 to December
23, 1971.. Chuck and his wife, Echo, relocated to Lake Havasu City 15 years
ago and together they logged many miles as a truck driving team. Chuck was a
lifelong member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 25 years, Echo; son
Toby Freestone and his wife Suzie of Huntington Beach, CA; daughter Jamie
Morgado and her husband Carlos of Paso Robles, CA; mother Ruth Griffis of
Lake Havasu City, AZ; step mother Betty Wilson of Homeland, CA; brothers
Mark Griffis and his wife Teri of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Earl Wilson and
his wife Lili of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sisters Kathy Bloomer and her husband
Duane of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Rose Wilson of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Teresa
Petterson of Homeland, CA, Dorothy Shook of Boise, ID and 5 grandchildren
and 1 great grandchild. He also leaves behind many adoring nephews and
nieces and close friends.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 1:00
PM at the Aquatic Center. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 9401
and American Legion Post 81. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's name
may be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society 1100 Empire Dr. Lake
Havasu City, AZ 86404.
