Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Julie Lynn Hartke, born on September 13, 1958, in Huron, SD, was a beacon of compassion, dedication, and generosity. Her spirit was as vast as the lakes she loved in Perham, Minnesota, and as warm as the Arizona sun she cherished in the winters of Havasu. A loving wife, sister, and daughter, Julie was known for her unwavering kindness and her heartfelt commitment to those around her.
For 38 years, Julie served as a Certified Nursing Assistant, embodying the very essence of dedication and care in the healthcare field. Her generosity extended not only to her patients but also to her loved ones and her beloved pets. Julie was a steadfast member of her community, attending St. Michael's United Methodist Church in Lake Havasu City, AZ for 11 years, and prior to that, she was a faithful member of the Oakmound Congregational Church in Rural Kragnes, Minnesota for 32 years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she lived by the verse in Colossians 3:12, "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
Julie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Marvin Hartke, and her siblings Steve Ernster, Mike Ernster, and Deanna Peske. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Neda Ernster. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, a testament to her loving spirit and unwavering dedication.
