Julie & Marv took a chance on me and rented me my first piece of ground to jump start my farming career. I was able to watch their MN home for them so they could spend their winters in Lake Havasu while I fed the deer and did puzzles at their dining room table. I looked up to them as my 3rd set of grandparents. I looked forward to chatting with them when they stopped by the farm and enjoyed the surprise boxes of puzzles I’d get in the mail from them. Julie will forever hold a place in my heart remembered for her kind, caring heart. Rest in Peace, Julie!! I will miss you. God has you now.

Julie was such a dear friend and I would always look forward to seeing her as she would often drive over to our farm yard since we lived so close just to say hi and chat for a while about anything and everything. Her smile and laugh were contagious and she would do a lot of that during our conversations. Julie was so kind, caring, giving and compassionate and will be dearly missed. Love you Julie! Rest In Peace with Jesus. Until we meet again in Paradise. Thoughts and prayers to Marvin her family and friends.

It was like we had been friends for years. Whe was going through alot with her cancer treatment. We chatted on the phone and texted with one another when we were not in LHC, She beamed with joy and happiness even though she was going through alot. Will miss you lots, Julie. I also knew Julie at Essentia. She was always happy and friendly and gave exceptional care. She was assigned to be with my mom after surgery in the intensive care unit as mom was a little confused. Julie was there to keep her safe and as they were visiting, mom looks at her and says “you look like Elizabeth Taylor! You have such pretty eyes!” Julie just blushed and said thank you! After that, whenever I saw Julie, I called her Liz. People would look at us funny knowing that wasn’t her name. and we would just smile. It was a great memory of my mom always finding beauty in everyone. Julie, may your beautiful angelic soul Rest In Peace. With love, sympathy and friendship,

I want to share the fact that my wife from the very beginning of our relationship, became the rock in my life. At my age now, I have come to realize that I would have long ago passed away. Julie brought me through two demons; alcoholism and nicotine addiction. She was with me through not one, but two knee replacements. She pushed me in therapy and I remember her words "Marvin, you're gonna get those knees working." She was up all hours of the night refilling my ice container for my knee pain. I'm very fortunate to have had a nurse's aid for a wife who was also faithful and loving. I will forever miss you.
-Marvin

I was fortunate to work with Julie at Innovis/Essentia Fargo for many years. She was a faithful, compassionate steadfast caregiver.
In the last couple years we had some enjoyable lunches and phone calls. I admired Julie's strength, courage and faith as she battled cancer. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. God Bless.

I was blessed to get to know Julie when she would come to the Palace Cafe for her favorite biscuits and gravy also a banana cream pie occasionally. We would chat about life and it’s struggles but she always had a positive outlook for each situation. Her smile would brighten my day and I believe she truly was an angel here on earth! I’m so grateful I got to know her and blessed to call her my friend. My condolences to her family.

My Deepest Sympathy to Julie's husband Marvin, Julie's brothers & sisters & relatives; also her friends & co-workers. I have so many fond memories of my special friend Julie growing up in Wolsey. Julie invited me to go to Huron to do laundry with her and her parents. It was alot of fun and they took us out to eat. They were very kind to me. We would help her Mom Neda clean and do dishes at the cafe in Wolsey where she worked on some occasions. We had fun at slumber parties and we both loved the Monkey Band and had to get matching shirts. It was so cute my Mom Idel had to take pictures of us. My memories are countless of my Special Friend Julie. RIP, so many of us who loved Julie are missing her.

If we had a chance to catch up, it was like we had been friends forever! She remembered so much about my family and would always want to know how everyone was and what they were up to. She genuinely cared for others! I am so grateful I had the opportunity to get to know her! Blessings for peace and comfort!

Julie was our babysitter. When Rhonda was just a few days old, she joined us on the harvest trail from Oklahoma to ND. She stopped by Wolsey several times over the years for a visit. We are sad she had to battle cancer and left us so early. She will be missed by all that knew her.

I first became close to Julie when I was 9 years old & I and my family moved off the farm across the street from her in Wolsey SD. She was a fun & caring friend whose smile and laughter lit up the little town of Wolsey. My Dad called her Julie Belle & she called him Roscoe & they had a special bond. We had a good time snowmobiling with him or bugging him at work at The Friendly Tavern. Julie loved sharing her quarters her Mom would give her. She'd play songs on the Jukebox or play games of pool or buy treats & be sure others around her were having a good or happy time. My Mom told me when she was born in 1958 they remembered the cutest baby girl with the most dark hair and her parents were so proud of their new addition. When we were teenagers she loved to go to Huron and bug her favorite brother-in-law at Metz Bakery. After high school we enjoyed rooming together and working at Huron's Federal Building being built. I am sad that she left us but glad that she left us with all the memories of joy and kindness. I am really looking forward to meeting up with her again someday. She truly was a special friend and a gift from God.

My deepest sympathies to Marv and family.
I've known Julie since I was born through attending the little Oak Mound Congregational Church near Kragnes. Out of the many wonderful memories I cherish of her, here are a few highlights:
1. Julie was such a dedicated church and cemetery worker, and was secretary-treasurer of the Oak Mound Ladies Aid for many years. She was present at every church function, and contributed her time, talents, baked goods, labor, or whatever was needed.
2. When I was a child, Julie gave me a milk crate full of old 45 RPM records from her youth in the '70s and introduced me to all the hits of that era. I still have some of these and listen to them periodically.
3. When we were decorating our church for Christmas one year, as a young child I wanted to use a very tacky 1960s-era angel to top the Christmas tree, despite our church having a nice selection of stars to choose from. I think a few people grimaced at my suggestion, but Julie was quick to defend me and for that year at least, that tacky plastic angel proudly adorned the top of the tree. I also recall that time, that Julie brought some candy for my brother and I to share when we decorated the church that year.
She was a staple of the Oak Mound Community and we all mourn her loss. May she rest in peace.

Marvin, sorry for your loss. Julie was a wonderful person. You and Julie had a beautiful home. She was one of the nurses who came out to see my mom when my mom was dying. Julie was so compassionate and she had a good sense of humor, sharing a few jokes. My Dad got a kick out of the jokes too. Julie made the world a better place.
