Obituary of John Arthur Dennis

John Arthur Dennis passed away on March 02, 2021 at the age of 56 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born in Glendale, California on June 18, 1964 to Robert and Janet Dennis. John married his true love, Cheryl, on June 29, 1985 in Lake Havasu City. He was a great romantic who fiercely loved his family and friends. His love knew no bounds - he had a gift for inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting those he was around. John was both incredibly smart and wise. He had the biggest heart, equally balanced by his insight and creativity. He could make you laugh to the point of tears. John brought an enlightening magic with him wherever he went. That light illuminated brightly- even at the darkest of times. His passion and dedication for always trying to do what’s right made him an inspirationally revered hero. His greatest joy was his family. He had the mind of an engineer, always looking for ways to repair and improve. He loved the Lord and was passionate about studying God’s Word. He was an unparalleled great man with a heart of gold and a giving nature - such as when he was a bone marrow donor, saving the life of someone he didn’t even know. Always searching for ways of helping people, he touched countless lives and will be deeply missed. John is preceded in death by his father; Robert D. Dennis and brother; Robert J. Dennis. He is survived by his wife; Cheryl Dennis, mother; Janet Dennis, son; Joshua Dennis, daughter; Ashley (Eddy) Shaver, brother; Michael (Gladys) Dennis, father and mother in-law; Forrest and Elaine Maki, brother and sister-in-law; Alan and Pam Maki, nephews; Anthony Dennis, Alex Maki, and Erik Maki. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Baptist Benevolence Fund. A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (McCulloch) on Sunday, March 14 at 3pm.
