Linda, Stacey, Paul, Phoenix, Griffin, Corey and Finley family, I was stunned and saddened to learn from Dennis Hilliard that Dennis had become a COVID victim. We had reconnected just a couple years ago and I had enjoyed hearing about his life post high school. His words glowed when he talked about all of you. His pride and love for you all came through in not only his words but the pictures he shared. I had no doubt he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. I am grateful that we were able to reconnect after so many years. My heart grieves for you and with you. Dennis was the kind of person who will be missed by many forever. I have so many great memories of Dennis and Linda when I was a teen at the Flushing church. They were newly married and volunteered with the teens with much enthusiasm! Canoe trips on the AuSable, Halloween parties, capture the flag in the woods on Sunday afternoons, get togethers in their home. I know there are a lot of us senior citizens fondly remembering our younger days with such a kind and giving couple. My prayers are with you Linda, and your family. Dennis was always so kind and generous to us kids that would come hang out at the house with Stacey and Corey. I remember him helping out with youth group activities too - he was always a lot of fun to be around. He will be remembered in the best of ways.
