Hello dad, this is your eldest daughter. I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for showing me how to change a tire, change fluids in the car, check the belts and do many other things to my vehicle so that I am safe. Thank you for taking me camping, sitting around a campfire and looking up at all the zillions of stars in the sky. Thank you for showing me how to fish. Thank you for showing me how an excellent marriage is done. Thank you for your smiles of encouragement and hugs of happiness. Thank you for all your patience when it came to my dating, dresses, dances and hair styles. Thank you for eating all those meals when I learning how to cook. (Even the first Thanksgiving turkey, that came already stuffed!) Thank you for teaching me responsibility, humility, love and patience.
Dearest Dad, thank you. I love you and miss you deep inside my heart.
