Obituary of Jacqueline Lee Martin
Jacqueline Lee Martin, 79, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was born April 19, 1939, in Fort Lewis, Washington, and passed away after a hard fought battle with advanced metastatic stage four breast cancer on November 16, 2018 surrounded by love in her "home sweet home," where she lived some of the best years of her life with her boyfriend, Michael J. Clothier.
Jackie was amazingly talented with such a vibrant, beautiful soul, so full of color. Most would say “…the life of the party”. She sewed many a dress for her daughters throughout their teenage years and as young adults. If love could’ve saved her life, she would’ve lived forever because she and Michael were full of life and love.
Her passion was with entertaining and that’s just what she and Michael did in Lake Havasu City. They sang their hearts out…together. One of the songs they sang that encompassed their everlasting love was “all I ever need is you” by Sonny and Cher, but this version was special as it was performed by “Michael Jay and Jackie Lee”, his bluesy girl. Lovebirds, they certainly were.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Harry Harding.
A loving mother, is survived by her children, David S. Dear, Kelley R. Martin, Carrie J. Greathouse, and son-in-heart, Daryl W. Greathouse.
A Celebration of Life will be held for loved ones to honor her full and eventful life at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona from 2-4 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
“Butterflies are beautiful symbols of transformation and a common sign sent from deceased loved ones that their spirit lives on. Your social butterfly life you lived will live on in all of the lives you’ve touched and your fingerprint will be a loving reminder to your daughters that they will have a touch of Mom forever. Your wings were ready but our hearts were not.”
