My thoughts and prayers are with Laurie's family, friends and all those she brought joy to.
I worked with Laurie for almost 15 years. She was as strong spirit and truly compassionate. She cared for some of our most challenging members and was very empathetic to each one’s unique needs.
I was lucky enough to visit with her on March 13th when I was in the home and learned of her health taking a turn for the worse. Even then – Laurie was her usual “sassy” self! I will truly miss her and feel very fortunate that we were able to say our goodbyes before she starts her next journey.

Heartfelt Condolence to Julie & Family,
I enjoyed my conversations with Laurie as I visited residents of Serenity. She always made us feel welcomed as we shared Bible knowledge with so many over the years. Without a doubt she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
May you find comfort in knowing the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. God’s word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4)
Further, “Your dead will live....the earth will let those powerless in death come to life”. (Isaiah 26:19;1Thessalonians 4:14) Jesus spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), performed resurrections & was himself resurrected by his Father. All such miraculous events took place on earth giving us a glimpse of what is to come....seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
May Jehovah God continue to bless you, your family and all who knew Laurie during this difficult time and in the days ahead as we await the fulfillment of his promises.....

I knew Laurie only briefly, but I noticed immediately what a caring woman she was. She touched many lives with her kindness. Her grace and strength will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Julie and all who had their lives brightened with Laurie's light.
