There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death; no doubt Mrs. Lamont will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Having endured such a loss, I find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
God’s word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4) Further the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary, “Your dead will live....the earth will let those powerless in death come to life”. (Isaiah 26:19)
Jesus spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), was himself resurrected by his Father and he performed many miracles. All such miraculous events, including resurrections, took place on earth giving us a glimpse of what is to come....seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
As we await the fulfillment of his promises, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family now and in the days to come.....
