Obituary of Angel Monserrate Morales
Angel M. Morales, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away Friday, December 1, 2017. He was 81 years of age.
Born on September 8, 1936 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, Angel moved to New York City in 1954, where he learned to speak English. He moved to Rhode Island not long thereafter, married, and had six children, who he is survived by; Dee Dee, Joe, Tony, Angel, Mark, and Lucee, whom sadly, he slowly lost contact with over the years. He is also survived by his thirty two grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In 1972, Angel met Trudy Wahl and her children, Tommy, Nancy, and Terry. In 1974 they moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Trudy and Angel married in 1976 and remained married until Trudy’s passing in 2007. Angel worked many years as a die-caster at McCulloch Corporation and retired in 1999. Post retirement, Angel also worked at the Lake Havasu School District as a janitor.
Angel was a caregiver for Trudy in her later years and he continued in that giving capacity even after her death with a willingness to help anyone who needed it. The community will certainly miss his jovial spirit he brought to the places he frequented, including Jack in the Box, Smith’s, Food City, and McDonalds, where he went for his afternoon ice cream cone.
Angel is survived by his step-children, Tommy, Nancy, and Terry; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Andrew, David, Alena, Trevor, Jonathan, and Zachary; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alice, James, Zoey, and Leona.
Visitation will be at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home with his Memorial service to follow at 7:00pm.
