Angelo Joseph Bottaro, age 86, left this world for a better place in Heaven with the Lord on November 2, 2017. Angelo was born on August 12, 1931 in Connecticut. Angelo served in the United States Army and was in Korea during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks Club, Eagles Club, and the VFW. Angelo is survived by his wife, June Cardello Bottaro; sons, Mark (Jennifer) and David (Deborah); three grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha, and Jackson Bottaro; brothers, Joseph (Gloria), Manuel, Frank (Sophie) Bottaro; sisters, Nina Catalano, Virginia (Richard) Asker, and Carmel Battaglio; many nieces and nephews and also step-sons, Michael, Mark, and Paul Cardello. Mass will be at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10:30am, with a reception to follow in the church hall. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff of River Valley Home Health and Hospice for all of the tender care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Valley Hospice. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
