I am saddened to hear of the passing of Vall. Our family has many great memories shared with him and your family during the times you lived in Springfield, Havasu City and Gallup. I remember him as a good man who was kind to others and was a positive model of servant leadership for family, work, and community. As I think of him and his parting from this life on earth, I am reminded of the quote in "It's a Wonderful Life," one of my favorite movies and a play that my son just directed last week. It is when Clarence, the angel, said to George Bailey, "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"Thank God for Vall-- the life he lived and the lives he touched. This world is a better place because he lived and loved and served in the manner in which he did. He will be missed, but the contributions of his life will live on through things he accomplished and the lives he influenced in various ways.
