To the Finck family: my thoughts and prayers to all of you. Mr. Finck was and always been kind hearted man. Knowing him through the school years and after. Sill remember walking by house when i was going home from school if he was out he would take time to say hi. My favorites memories was way after school. He would come in to the West River Community Center and say hi then talk about his kids and what they are up and also talk proudly about his gran kids. Heaven didn't just get a great Man they out an outstanding Teacher, Father, and Grandpa. May he rest in rest peace and may all of friends and family members keep his legacy alive with amazing stories to share with all. WIlson McLaughlin class of 89.

Judy,
I am so sad to hear of Charlie's passing. Please know I'll have a great big hug for you next time we see one another. I first met Charlie as a freshman, or maybe sophomore at Dickinson High School. Mr. Finck was a teacher of mine, for more than one class and I can say that many of those memories are best left unspoken, ha! I don't know who tormented who more, Charlie the new teacher at DHS or me, his student, with my typical science class shenanigans. Many times in my early adulthood I wanted to apologize to both him and Mr. Zubke for the hell we put them through!! It took a long time knowing you to get comfortable calling him by Charlie. I feel truly blessed that I had an opportunity to know Charlie. He always had a smile when I saw him and he always cracked me up! I loved joking with him. I will miss that.
Take care of yourself my dear, old friend. I know there are difficult days ahead for you and your family. Until I see you in the spring (hopefully) know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
