LEO JOSEPH ARSENAULT June 15, 1923- Nov. 16, 2016 Leo Joseph Arsenault, 93, was born June 15, 1923 to Arthur and Elise Arsenault in Cambridge, Mass., passed away peacefully Nov. 16. As a young man, he was proud to serve our country in the Marine Corp during WWII, storming beaches in Guadalcanal, Okinawa, and Peleliu. He retired from a career with the federal government where he and his family lived in Cuba, Iran, Norway, Virginia, Taiwan, Greece, Germany, and Ethiopia. The family's travels took them to many other countries as well. He retired to Lake Havasu City in 1976. He enjoyed the brotherhood of the local Marine Corp League and the many years of membership with the Elks club in which he was a Past Exalted Ruler. He always had a friendly word for everyone and loved to offer an evening cocktail to his friends. To those who knew him, he was always "peachy". He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine of 61 years who he loved with all his heart as well as his parents and siblings Paul Arsenault, Lena Kelly and Rita Day. He is survived by his children Linda Fowles, Michael Arsenault, and Carol and Jerry Barta. He is also survived by his grandchildren Justin and Dani Fowles, Michelle Barta, Brian Barta, Natalie and Josh Land and Matthew Arsenault. He leaves behind great-grandchildren Sophia, Adam and Yousef Khan and Tanner, Channing and Eleanor Land. Special thanks to the staff at Prestige Assisted Living, Hospice and especially Rose Ortega for her dedicated care in his last days.
