Obituary of Daniel John Aldridge

Daniel J. Aldridge January 28, 1963 – July 26, 2016 Dan Aldridge, 53 lost his battle with cancer in Chandler, Arizona, on July 26, 2016 with his family by his side. Dan was born in Ashland, WI and moved to Lake Havasu City with his family in 1969. Dan attended school in Lake Havasu City and graduated from Lake Havasu High in 1981. Dan was a gifted athlete and student and was a national water skiing champion. He was also a successful entrepreneur growing up, starting and owning two businesses prior to high school graduation. Dan spent his first year in college at New Mexico Military Institute and completed his first year with the highest GPA in his class. That summer, Dan received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and graduated in the top 15% of his class. Dan was accepted to flight school in Pensacola, FL where he went through vigorous training for Naval Aviation. Dan's Naval career was cut short due to a medical condition and was honorably discharged in 1992. Dan was also a private pilot who enjoyed nothing more than flying. After the Navy, he worked in land development and consulting. Dan was preceded in death by his Father, the Honorable Don Aldridge; Dan is survived by his Mother, Mary (Aldridge) Rock; his sisters Nannette, Sophia, Beth and Tamera; his brothers Mike, Andy and Ray; And numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Dan will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A Memorial gathering will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Military Honors and a Celebration of Life will begin at 5:30 p.m. A reception dinner will immediately follow.
