Obituary of Austin Francis Bailey

Austin Francis (Frank) Bailey was born on November 24, 1940 in Bozeman, Montana,Son of Lois and Austin (Pete) Bailey of West Yellowstone, Montana. He spent most of his boyhood in West and moved to Bozeman where he graduated from Bozeman Sr. High.
On August 5, 1959, he married KathaLee Harrington. They moved to Ennis, Mt.until 1961 when they moved to Salt Lake City to attend trade school. Moving back to Bozeman in 1963 where he work as an auto mechanic for Robert F. Dye and J.C. Billion until opening his own auto repair shop in 1980. He retired in 2003 and split their time between Ennis Mt. and Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
He enjoyedfishing, skiing, and playing golf, and especially liked hanging out with his two grandchildren. He also spent many, hours hunting with his best buddy, J.R. He was a 52 year member of the Elks and a member of Valley View Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy; son, Randy; and wife Karen Bailey; grand children Brianna and Ian; his daughter, Krista; son in-law, Ronald Moyes; sister, Marilyn and husband, Doug Laubach.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family on Sunday, January 18th at 1:30 P.M. at the Islander Resort, 751 Beachcomber Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona. There will also be a Memorial held in the spring (TBA) in Ennis, Montana.
