What a small world we live in! My husband and I retired to Lake Havasu City from Helena, Montana, about six years ago.... and as I read the obituary for Frank Bailey in the newspaper I suddenly realized that I was reading about my 6th grade classmate, Frankie Bailey, from West Yellowstone! We were the only students in the 6th grade....62 years ago! He sat in a desk right behind mine...and, yes, he pulled/yanked on my hair every day! And when I got my new eyeglasses he reminded me daily that my name was now "four eyes"!! He was such a tease, and a rascal....and a very special boy! We played baseball in the spring and fall and basketball in the winter...of course in the gym. Lots of snow prevented us from going outside to play! Frankie's sister, Marilyn, was my very special friend. In the summer I often stayed over at their house! Their parents, Lois and "Pete" were the best!
Oh yes....I do remember Frankie Bailey! A cute, fun little boy (I was a head taller than he was) with a mop of red hair and freckles...and always a twinkle in his eye! He played pranks....and always had a joke to tell! He loved to laugh.
Frankie,.....your family and your friends will surely miss you.
