Obituary of Garnette Peterson
Please share a memory of Garnette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness to announce that our mother, Garnette Peterson, has passed. She was born on June 14, 1933 to James and Mildred Farnam, in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Garnette went to nursing school in Tacoma, Washington. She then worked at Harrison Memorial and Keyport for a number of years. During this time, she married Norman Manning and had four children, Mick, Pat, Dennis and MaLinda. After a ten year marriage, Norman and Garnette went their own ways. Garnette continued to raise their four children for several years on her own. Garnette then married Jerry Peterson and together moved the family to Fairbanks, Alaska. Garnette continued to work in the nursing field for several years. Garnette was a very generous lady; she was tough and took no crap from anyone!!! She will be geatly missed by all, especially her children and grandchildren.
Garnette is preceded in death by both of her parents; brother, Jim and husband, Jerry. Garnette is survived by her children; Mick (Merry) (son Colton), Pat (daughter Holly), Dennis (Tami) children Dominic, Max, Tricia and Nathanael. MaLinda (Bobby) (grand dogs Piper, Angus and Cash). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews in Washington and many many friends.
At the request of our mother, there will be no services.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to Garnette's family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
