I had the privilege of working with Carl and Doris when I was the Association Manager of El Condo II for many years. Carl was on the Board of Directors for many years and served as President for a period of time also. He was a great fellow and I was sad to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was saddened to hear about the loss of your father and grandfather. In 2002 our special needs daughter moved into unit B3, cattycorner from Carl. He was one of the very few who spoke to her and treated her well. Even after she was moved to a group home she used to ask how he was doing. I had the opportunity to work with Carl on the Board of Directors, he always wanted to do what was right for his neighbors. May you take comfort in the fact that he was very well liked and respected. Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of Carl. He was one of our dearest friends and we will never forget his kind and gentle nature. When we moved to Lake Havasu City in 1979, Carl was working his magic at the "Down and Under" bar at the old Shakespeare Inn. We will never forget his congenial and welcoming manner and helping us to realize we had made an excellent decision by moving to Havasu. We will miss him dearly and will never forget this lovely man.
