Obituary of Bernice Rose Locatis

Bernice Locatis, 85, passed away August 12, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Bernice was born in 1928 in Rockwell City, IA. In 1948 she married Leo Locatis and they moved to Reseda, CA where they lived until moving to Lake Havasu in 1972. While in Havasu, Bernice worked many years for the Lake Havasu Unified School District until her retirement. She always loved the outdoors, camping, & desert excursions with her family and friends, and tending her plants. Bernice is survived by her 4 children, Larry (Betty) Locatis, Butch (Debbie) Locatis, Patti Locatis, and Danny (Christie) Locatis all of Lake Havasu. She was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, Travis, Justin, Josh, Tyler, and Troy, and 5 great-grandchildren, James, Kylee, Kadan, Lincoln, and Alex. She is also survived by her brother Roger Will of Emmetsburg, Iowa. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Leo, and great-grandson Logan. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. As per her wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or your favorite charity.
