Obituary of Theodore Mark Duda

Mark Duda passed away peacefully of cancer on August 20, 2015 at home with his family, including extended family Tina Rios and Kevin Davis. Mark is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betsy Duda; brothers, Craig and Brian Duda; children, Tina Duda, Marci Wells, Jaime Mazick, and Andy Duda; grandkids, Dana Black, Gage Mitten, Carly Black, Seth Duda, Cooper Mazick, Tanner Mazick, Wyatt Wells, and Cash Duda; great grandson, Kellin Schulz; sister-in-law, Debi Duda; son-in-law, Randy Mazick; and daughter-in-law, Ashley Duda. After leaving their hometown of Glendora, CA, Mark and Betsy traveled for 6 months before settling in Lake Havasu in October 1971. Mark was well known for his dedicated work ethic; his ingenuity; his willingness to help anyone at anytime; his love of long conversations; and his firm belief that duct tape could fix anything, including a chin that had been halfway torn off in a motorcycle accident. Mark was also known to be able to fix or build absolutely anything, including a golf ball cannon that could possibly have resulted in multiple police visits to the house for noise disturbance. He may also have had a run in with the law due to towing his son around the neighborhood on a door flinging off sparks. Officers were not always called when Mark was up to his shenanigans, such as scaring his granddaughter and friends during a sleepover, but he always left a lasting impression. Mark was a caring and selfless person, constantly looking out for others and making sure they had what they needed. He had strong convictions and a seriousness about him, but he showed his mischievous side often with the pranks he loved to pull. Mark was loved immensely and a huge void has been left with his passing; he will be missed by so many. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
