Mark and I became best friends from the 8th grade on. His family and mine ate dinners together. We were inseparable. His belief in duct tape borders on spiritual. We have not seen each other in a long time, but this one hurt. My sympathies to Besty and the rest of the family. I celebrate his life, for so long he was a part of mine. Sam Gevorkian

Betsy and kids, I am heartbroken at the loss of Mark. Mark saved my life by teaching me the truth of the Bible and I will always be grateful to him. His loving, self-sacrificing life set an example for us all. I have never known anyone with more genuine goodness and generosity in his heart and actions than Mark. We are so very sorry for your loss. Mark was a great guy. It is an honor to have known him. I have many fond memories of him and I think of him often, especially when I see something that seems impossible to repair. I always say to myself "I'll betcha Mark Duda could fix that."
