Obituary of Roger N. Tumbleson

Roger was born in Nebraska to Melvin and Mary Tumbleson; at the age of 7 the family moved to Colorado. He then served as U.S. Army SFC in Germany followed by college in California where he married Florence Plumly and had three children. He was employed for 30 years by Wynn Oil Company and as V.P. of Operations worked in 12 foreign countries setting up chemical blending and packaging facilities. He divorced and married Maxine Stewart. He moved from California to Lake Havasu City in 1989 and started a second career as a construction superintendent building more than 400 houses and many commercial buildings in Lake Havasu City. He was past President of the Azusa California Chamber of Commerce and Lake Havasu Golden K Kiwanis and an active Christian and Elder at the community Presbyterian Church.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth; his wife, Maxine; his sons, Chad and Ron and his granddaughter, Jessica.
He is survived by his daughter, Cristal Rowe (Jim); 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and brother, Jack Tumbleson.
Roger believed tears and anger should be replaced by smiles and love and he truly enjoyed making people smile. Sometimes they laughed out loud at him.
A memorial service will be at Community Presbyterian Church of Lake Havasu City on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 P.M.
