Melvin Kenneth Lucas 84, passed away on March 8, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Martin and Thelma Lucas in Olney, TX on May 11, 1927.
Melvin worked as brewer of Anheuser Busch Inc. in Los Angeles, CA for 42 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a member of Lakeview Community Church and he enjoyed watching TV, traveling (especially Nevada), taking pictures, old movies (John Wayne) and collecting steins from Anheuser Busch. He loved to eat at buffets and drink coffee at Safeway and Burger King.
Melvin is survived by his loving family sons Scott Lucas (Laurie) of Dallas, OR and Chris Lucas of Dallas, OR; daughters Cheryl Bell (Jerry) of Palmdale, CA and Kim Oeser of Dallas, OR; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 13, 2012 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home at 9:30 - 10:30 AM followed by a funeral service at Lakeview
Community Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dale Ray officiating.
Donations can be made to the local Heart & Cancer Assoc. in Melvin's name.
