Jim Lindsey was one of the good guys! He has left a priceless legacy for his family. This legacy is more valuable than money or material items. He has left behind an entrepreneur spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, integrity, and imparting great loyalty for those he loved and cared about. Jim had a wonderful understanding of family and he understood the importance of acceptance of all their unique personalities.
He was a friend and employer who took care of his people. A visionary who understood the concept of partnership with his employees and because of his wisdom he made his company very successful. His customers knew this was a man who cared. Whether or not it was ensuring he sold top quality in his poultry company or his employees received excellent benefits at a time when there wasn't laws governing employers. He understood the importance of paying his people fairly. He was a man any of his people could go to for any problem and he was there to help out. This is a man who saw past disabilities in an employee, age, gender, and hired that person when no one else would. He gave that employee confidence, pride, and self-worth. In return, he had employees always there for him. Willing to do whatever was necessary. There was strong loyalty, and he treated his employees like family.
I also have firsthand knowledge of the Papa Bear he was for his children, and he was formidable. This was a man who earned respect from both friends and foes. His children knew with one phone call he would be there for them. This man was the epitome of what any child would want in a parent. His great love for his family, his integrity. A wonderful man went home today, and heaven is richer because of it.
Jim will always live on in those who knew and loved him.
