Obituary of Frances Delores Lutz
Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frances Delores Lutz, 82, passed away on December 23, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to August and Lydia Lutz on July 15, 1933 in Goodrich, North Dakota.
Frances was a single mom of a seven-year-old boy when she moved to Lake Havasu City in August of 1969, after having originally visited on a Holly flight. Having grown up on a farm in the cold climate of North Dakota and then living in Milwaukee she embraced this warmer and brighter chapter in her life— and she embraced the Havasu community. She witnessed the city that had been established just six years before her arrival grow from a population of 1,500 to 52,000, become home to the London Bridge, and become a world renowned resort. As a patron of the arts she especially enjoyed Havasu's regional theater productions. Frances was an avid reader and her book collection was donated to the Mohave County Library.
As a detailed oriented legal assistant for Wachtel, Biehn, and Malm for 29 years Frances had a reputation for being the best probate officer in Mohave County. She was a member of the Lake Havasu City Planning Board (1980), Soroptimist International, the Lake Havasu Community College Campus Foundation, the Mohave Legal Secretaries Association, the Arizona Association of Legal Secretaries, and the National Legal Secretaries Association.
Frances is survived by her son, Zachary Jon Lutz (Jacquelyn) of Fairfax, VA; sisters, Gert Stolz of Bismarck, ND, Arlys Hall of Bemidji, MN; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica.
