Obituary of Eugene Leon Cretal

Mr. Eugene Cretal, who was 75 years old of and a resident of Lake Havasu City died Thursday March 20, 2014 in his home of illness. Eugene was born May 21, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan. He attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan. He later obtained an MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He worked as an engineer for Ford Motors for 32 years. On March 27, 1965, he married Ingrid Cretal who was born in Hamburg, Germany. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1995 and moved to Lake Havasu City with his wife Ingrid and daughter Tonja. During his life he enjoyed cross-country running, family vacations, socializing with friends over a cup of coffee. He participated in 3 Boston marathons. Throughout his life he was an active church member and attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City. Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Ingrid (Goetz) Cretal; three beloved children Curtis Cretal, Renee Cretal, Tonja (Cretal) Murdock; beloved sons-in-law Jacob Murdock (Tonja), and Mohamed Benazzouz (Renee); beloved grandchildren Eric Cretal, Nikolas Murdock, Brianna Murdock and Lincoln Murdock. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 4:00pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home 21 Riviera Blvd Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
