CHARLES ALBERT PRAVEL Charles Albert Pravel passed away on Monday April 16, 2012 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 90. Charles was born on May 6, 1921 in Buffalo, NY to Charles and Elsie (Koss) Pravel. Following graduation from high school Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, beginning a career that would span over 20 years Charles retired from the Marines as a Master Sergeant on January 31, 1962. While in the Marine Corps he served in the South Pacific and fought at Guadalcanal. Charles relocated to Lake Havasu City in October 2005 from California and became a member of the Marine Corps League and Elks Lodge 2399. In the fall you could find Charles enjoying the many football games on T.V. Charles is survived by his sons Charles Pravel of Lebanon, OH and John Pravel of Eugene; daughter Shelly Teague of Savannah, GA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial gathering for Charles will be held on Friday May 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Sun Haven Assisted living 2731 S. Jamaica Blvd. Military Honors will be rendered by the Lake Havasu Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
