Obituary of Jacklyn Hartman

Please share a memory of Jacklyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jacklyn (Jackie) Reid Hartman was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on July 7, 1942 to Jack and Flora Mathews. She spent her childhood in Michigan until moving to Torrance, California where she graduated from North High in 1960. While in high school she met and married her love, Richard (Dick) Hartman. Dick and Jackie were married on April 28, 1962 and most recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas with their children and grandchildren. Throughout their marriage they lived in both California and Nebraska as they raised their children and finally settled in Lake Havasu City in 1984. Jackie began working for her brother in law, Dr. Jack Fredrickson, DDS and continued to do so until his retirement at which time she began working for Dr. Jeffrey Lysdale DDS, the new owner. She loved the interaction she had with "the girls in the office" and the patients. Jackie was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where she was actively involved with volunteer work and supported the church with a strong conviction to God. She enjoyed working along side her church family including Shirley Bowens and Barb Bramlett. Another love of Jackie's was attending Curves. Until she became sick she worked out regularly and socialized with all the ladies. Her friends remember her as a strong, beautiful and kind person with a smile that would light up a room. Most important to Jackie was her family and she was surrounded with love. Along with her husband, Dick she leaves behind her children Denise Miner (Mark), Scott Hartman (Cynthia), Melissa Brown (partner, Jodi Roberdes), and Kristina Preacher (fiancé, Gary Merz). She also leaves behind grandchildren, E'Leece Miner, Haze Miner, Megan Preacher, Taylor Brown, Andrew Hartman, Jake Preacher, Alec Hartman, and Tiera Brown. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Allen. Jackie will also be missed by sisters' Judy Davis, Flora Fredrickson (Jack) and Marian Lockwood. Services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 111 Bunker Drive, LHC, AZ. Donations may be made to the Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation.
