Obituary of Eric Valenzuela

Eric Brandon Valenzuela passed away on Saturday June 23, 2012 in Phoenix, AZ. at the age of 39. Eric was born on November 15, 1972 in Hemet, CA. to Manuel and Cheryl (Von Driska) Valenzuela. Eric moved to Lake Havasu City shortly after high school graduation in 1992. He was co-owner of the Bridgewater Motel, Amberwood Development and also was a Realtor with Keller-Williams. Eric was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and while living in Hemet in his younger years, he was a member of DeMolay, which is a part of the Masonic Lodge for younger people. Eric was especially proud of earning his pilot's license and enjoyed flying to various destinations. He also loved boating, jeeping, snow skiing and camping with his friends and family. Eric was a very devoted husband, father and son. His family was very important to him, and he will be deeply missed. Eric is survived by his loving wife of 6 years Mickel, daughters Mykenah and Lauryn, his parents Manuel and Barbara Valenzuela of Golden Valley, AZ; and Cheryl and Robert Miller of Lake Havasu City and his uncle Darrell Von Driska of Hemet, CA. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Chad Garrison will offer words of comfort. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Mohave State Bank for his girls' education.
