ROBERT R. JOHNSON
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, Robert R. "Bob" Johnson passed away on July 1, 2012. He was born May 9, 1936 to Estel F. and Ethel M. Johnson. He was also a son of an Orange County pioneering family dating back to the 1880's. He grew up in Santa Ana, California. Bob worked for the Orange County Register for approximately 50 years. He started as a 12 year old paperboy. He retired July 1, 1998. Bob married Wanda Hamby on September 22, 1955. Wanda passed away August 25, 1990. Bob married S. Jean Johnson September 21, 1991. Bob and I shared 21 years together. His passing has left a huge hole in my heart and in the hearts of his children and grandchildren. Bob was involved in Little League, Indian Guides and Boy Scouts. He loved to RV camp, ride ATVs/Quads, loved his sand buggy, his '36 Chevy, traveling in the RV and spending time with his family. He loved the desert where he and Jean retired to Parker, AZ in December 1998. He is survived by his wife Jean and their children, including son Ray and wife Doreen, daughter Brenda and husband Dave Bower, son Russell and wife Lee, step-sons Jeff Consbruck and Robert Consbruck , 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild . Roger and Jeannie Rooker, sons Steven and Kenny who Bob considered his children as they were neighbors for many years. He is also survived by his brother Larry Johnson, sister Susan and husband Paul Filipowicz, sister-in-law Mary Jo Porter, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lee and Carol Harder, brother-in-law Don Harder and wife Pat, brother-in-law Larry Harder and wife Pat. He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and many great life-long friends. There will be a memorial service held on July 13, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Fairhaven Memorial Cemetery in Santa Ana, California.
