Thomas Edward Housen passed away peacefully at home in Lake Havasu City after a long battle with cancer. He was born to George and Dorothy Housen, November 9, 1929 at St. Vincents Hospital in Los Angeles. He joined the Marines in July of 1947 and served in several areas including Guam.
He married Lorraine Short on February 11, 1950 in Los Angeles. Together they resided in La Puente, CA for 41 years where they raised their children Patrick, Kenneth and Linda.
Tom was employed as sheet metal worker until his retirement from Anning and Johnson in 1991 when he and Lorraine followed daughter Linda and family to Lake Havasu City. Tom enjoyed the three "G"s, Grandchildren, Golf and Gambling and frequented Laughlin and Blue Water Resort and Casino whenever he could.
Tom was preceded in death by his father (George), mother (Dorothy) and step-mother (Bernie). He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, his three children Patrick, Kenneth (Dee Dee) and Linda (Scott) Wollam along with 10 grandchilden, 9 great grandchildren and one honorary great-grandchildren as well as his step-brother Charles Blum DDS.
The family would like to thank New Hope Hospice for the compassionate care they have given over the past few months. Donations honoring Tom can be made to New Hope Hospice 500 N. Lake Havasu City Ave. Unit #B106, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Honoring Tom's request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
