Obituary of Ruth L. Hafeman

- Ruth L. Hafeman, born February 13, 1920, died April 6, 2014 in her Lake Havasu City, Arizona home at 94 years of age. She is survived by her loving sister Pauline R. Nardulli (Hafeman) of Melrose Park, IL, She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman C. Hafeman and Amy Hafeman (Kings), her sisters Margaret Anderson and Corabelle Robbins and her brother, Herman Hafeman. She is also survived by three generations of over 100 nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a nursing cadet during World War II and became a full fledged Register Nurse in 1947. She served the medical community in various capacities until her retirement 50 years later at the age of 78. One of the highlights of her career was being instrumental in the establishment of Medical Center Hospital in Lake Havasu City currently known as Havasu Regional Medical Center.
The family will have a service in her memory on Saturday, April 26th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL. She will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ruth's name to Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 2170 Havasupai Blvd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403.
