Obituary of Vernon Westerlund

VERNON DALE WESTERLUND Vernon Dale Westerlund passed away August 4, 2012 at the age of 83 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Vernon was born September 15, 1928 in Red Lake Falls, MN to Oscar and Ethel Westerlund. Vernon worked with the elderly at a nursing home in MN, bee keeper in MN, drove truck for Red Lake County, MN and worked as a security guard under the London Bridge and at the Nautical Inn. He lived in Seattle, WA where he met his wife, of 47 years, Rolanna (Vickery) at a World's Fair. Vernon loved fishing and playing solitare. Vernon leaves behind his wife Rolanna; sons Dale Westerlund, Wayne Westerlund Sr, Randy Westerlund and Wayne Westerlund; daughters Sandy Miller and Barbara Slover; grandsons Michael Westerlund, Wayne Westerlund Jr, Jason Slover, Tommy Slover and Jesse Slover; great grandchildren Elissa Westerlund, Megan Slover, Molly Slover and Hailey Slover; brothers Raymond and Roger and his sister Darlene. Preceded into death his brother Alvie and his son Jaymie.
