Theodore Kosters AKA Ted, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home under hospice care in Golden Valley, AZ on March 5, 2024. He was a caring father, giving brother, fun uncle, and proud grandfather. He was a retired Las Vegas police officer of 26 years, Vietnam veteran in the Air Force, black belt Tang Soo Do, cowboy, and horse trainer. Ted leaves behind a legacy of service and passion. Ted Kosters, preceded in death by his father Bill Kosters and his mother Evelyn Kosters. He is survived by his children Theodore Kosters Jr, and Chere Morelli. In addition to his children, Ted is survived by his brother Steve Ough, sister-in-law Leona Ough, 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and 6 grandchildren. Ted was an inspiration to many, including his brother, as he encouraged Steve into law enforcement. A true cowboy at heart, Ted found solace and joy inworking with horses. His passion for the equestrian world brought him fulfilment and allowed him to share his expertise with others. Ted will be deeply missed but remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace. A burial will be held at Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 10:40am.
