Obituary of Steven James Holstrom

It is with deep and sincere sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven James Holstrom, who left us on January 2, 2024. Born in Torrance, CA on May 22, 1952, Steven, fondly known as "Steve" to friends and family, lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. A proud resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Steven was a man of many talents and interests. As a retired general contractor in construction, he had a love for building that extended far beyond his profession. Whether it was tinkering in his workshop or constructing a grand vision, Steven's hands were never idle. He found joy in boating and fishing, always at peace when he was on the water. His wit and humor brought laughter and lightness to any gathering, and his accomplishments as a World Champion water skier were a testament to his determination and skill. Steven almost went to the Olympics until an unfortunate injury, but his spirit remained indomitable. Steven was the cherished father of Jill Whitney, Jeremy Holstrom, Travis Holstrom, and Nichole Holstrom. He was the adored brother of Peter Holstrom and Diane Lannan, and the beloved grandfather of seven. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, James and Melcena Holstrom, and his loyal canine companion, Tonka. In the words of Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Steven embraced this philosophy, always ready for a new project or adventure. His zest for life was infectious, and his presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
