Obituary of Peggy Ferketich

Please share a memory of Peggy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Ann "Peggy" Ferketich. Born in the heart of Philadelphia, PA on December 6, 1938, Margaret led a life full of love, joy, and creativity, always embracing the simple pleasures of life. Known for her vivacious spirit and endearing charm, Margaret's warmth and compassion touched the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She had a distinct love for needlepoint and painting, and her days were often filled with the melodious tunes of big band, country, and fifties music. Margaret also had an affinity for word searches, an activity that showcased her love for challenges and her sharp intellect. Margaret moved from Southampton, PA to Lake Havasu, AZ on December 7, 1982, a place she called home for 41 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Friends of the NRA. Margaret's professional life was marked with notable stints at McCulloch Chainsaw Factory, the Nautical Inn and Judo Electric, each role a testament to her hardworking nature and dedication. Above all, what mattered most to Margaret was her family. She was the devoted wife to her late husband, Matthew, whom she married in Glenside, PA on September 11th, 1965. Their love story spanned 58 beautiful years, culminating in a family that expanded to include six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. It is the memory of this love, and the strength of the family they built together, that we celebrate today. Margaret Ferketich is survived by her son, Eric Ferketich, her daughter, Suzanne Thompson, her brother, Frank Ryan, and her sister, Rosemary Koch. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Ryan, her mother, Bridget Ryan, and her daughter, Michele Ferketich. The Memorial Service for Margaret, her husband Matthew, and Daughter Michele will be held on Friday, Feb 9th, 2024 at 2:00pm MST at the 21 Riviera Boulevard, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the same venue.
