Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Alfred Meagher, 57, of Lake Havasu City, died in an off roading accident in Glamis, California on January 2nd, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1966 to Janet (Glowacki) and Matthew Meagher III, who joyfully welcomed him to their growing family. John was named after his cherished grandfather Alford Goglin who shaped and guided his life. John grew up in Montville, Ohio with his siblings and they enjoyed creating havoc and memories for the town to hear. He and his brothers loved to be the entertainment. John joined the army where he enlisted as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in 1986. He then received badges for excelling as a Rifle Marksman and Paratrooper during his service. He took pride in his accomplishments and enjoyed retelling his Army adventures. John raised his two strong-willed children. He loved talking to and motivating his kids as they grew. John loved his dogs, treating each one like the treasured family members they were. John and his friends were always up to something. Each season of his life he was able to find activities and create memories. Everyone who knew John understood how much he loved tinkering with things in his garage. John took pride in being the go-to person in fixing items and being the source of knowledge for friends and family. John will always be remembered for his socializing and the way that he made friends and connections to all. There is no one who could have replaced him as a father, brother, uncle, and son. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. John was preceded in death by his father Matthew Meagher III. He is survived by his much-loved children Angelina and Marc as well as his beloved nephew Devon (Nicole) Marotta, his loving mother Janet Glowacki and four siblings Wendy (Tim) Hambor, Matthew (Terri) Meagher IV, Laurie Meagher, and Robert (Marcie) Meagher.
