In Loving Memory of Barbara Joan Moroney Barbara Joan Moroney, a cherished soul in the heart of Lake Havasu City, bid farewell on December 16th, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving behind a tapestry of service to her community. Hailing from the rugged landscapes of Alaska, she made history in 1972 as the inaugural female President of a Chamber of Commerce in the 49th state, breaking barriers and paving the way for women in leadership. She also won the Alaska State Realtor of the Year award more than once. Barbara's love for Legends Bar and Grill extended to the vibrant Taco Tuesdays, where she reveled in the lively atmosphere. Her love for good times made her a great conversationalist and showcased her quick wit. At the Senior Center, Barbara was a familiar face. She held the title of the first to arrive every day, bringing a ray of sunshine and a welcoming smile to kickstart the day for her fellow seniors and the always kind staff. Rotary Park was another haven for Barbara, where she found solace in feeding the birds. Her love for nature and the simple joy of watching the birds reflected her appreciation for life's quieter moments and the beauty that surrounded her. Barbara's sharp wit was as legendary as her love for Taco Tuesdays. She embraced political banter with a twinkle in her eye, finding joy in playful exchanges about differing views. Barbara Joan Moroney is survived by her five children, Les, Eric, Lisa, Theron and Joshua, who carry the legacy of her energy and wit. Her seven grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of a grandmother who made every moment special. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those fortunate enough to have shared in her commitment, laughter, quick wit and occasional middle finger!
