Edie was born in Salem, Illinois to parents Richard and Nelda Crippen. She was an only child until her parents adopted two boys (Fred & John) when she was 17. When she was age 10, her parents relocated to Arcadia, California and was so excited because she could go to Disneyland. Edie & Dennis met through mutual friends and married on November 4, 1966. They spent the last 27 years in Glendora, California and then moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona before September 11, 2001. She was an amazing homemaker and raised two boys, David & Scott. Edie & Dennis loved traveling and saw many places RVing across the United States, spent lots of time at Lake Powell, and went on 11 cruises together. She was a member of the Elks, Havasu 4 wheelers, River Cities 4x4, Elks Bridge Club, and was a board member of the golf course HOA. She was an avid bowler and carried an average of 180 or better. She leaves behind her husband Dennis of 57 years, her two sons: David Dietzel (Irene) and Scott Dietzel (Kimberly). She is preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Nelda Crippen, and daughter; Anne Marie. She had many health issues to overcome and fought a hard battle for over 3 yrs. The family cannot thank HRMC and Beacon of Hope Hospice enough for the great care they gave her. She is no longer suffering and is in a better place. Rest in peace.
