I have many memories of my nephew, Adam. I was his high school French teacher, and he would say, "I'm tired," and slide out of his chair like slime oozing out of a jar. Good times. Probably my favorite memories are of him singing. I have a clip from an Easter Musical, The Choice, that our combined choirs did in Lake Havasu City. Adam is the angel at the tomb and sings, "Why Do You Seek the Living Among the Dead?" Here's the link to see it https://youtu.be/h6VP2B8Z1AA?si=pKSJcKiJR7VsUSk2
I miss him so much and my heart breaks for his family and friends.

Adam was in my son’s Aaron class. I remember him, even as a little boy, just so happy go lucky, with a warm and friendly smile on his face. He was one of those kind of people you just loved being around, because he was kind, friendly and very funny. You will be missed greatly Adam. RIP ❤️

Carole and Jim,
It’s hard to put into words how I feel, my heart is breaking for you. I remember our boys growing up - running around church, probably going into places they weren’t supposed to go, but being in church is where they wanted to be. Their friends were there, whether it’s because the adults were rehearsing for a Christmas or Easter musical, or they were there for one of the many youth group activities. This is how I choose to remember Adam - young, strong, vibrant and full of life! I know he is now free from pain and suffering and you wouldn’t want to bring him back to that, but his presence around your house and in your family is greatly missed. I pray you feel God’s presence in a real way, comforting you and walking every step with you as you navigate this road no parent ever wants to walk. My love, continued prayers and hugs reach over the miles to you. Love you, Becky Zarletti

My heart is sad for your loss dear Carole, Jim, Amy, Ben and Phalen. Adam’s life holds many special memories for me! One was his great laugh and sharp wit. I always enjoyed watching all the kids at church in children’s choir however it was such a delight to watch Adam sing with his heart and giggles. He so enjoyed singing from kids choir to high school with the guys. He had a quiet natural talent. I love that he used it singing as an angel at his church musical.
One memory I personally have of Adam was when Carole asked me to look at Adam’s arm. At first glance I knew he had broke it! It had been a couple of days of not complaining so no one really reacted. Carole noticed that Adam was favoring it. After Dr. Kelly gave her diagnosis, Adam and Carole went to a real doctor to find Adam had broke his elbow. He masked his pain then well. I am terribly sorry he suffered so later into his adult life with RA!
Fortunately Adam suffering has ended! God now holds this kind, witty, good man whole and healthy in Heaven. The hope of Heaven!
Dear family, God be with you till we meet again.
Love, Kelly O’Neil Shearer

I worked with Adam in Syracuse, NY at Bright Path Counseling Center, where he was so dedicated to helping others as a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. We became fast friends and he was supportive throughout any trial and tribulation I had. I am an only child and Adam became my brother; I supported him any way I could. We would also have the best time together; going to karaoke (he had the best voice and I always think of him when I hear Kaleo!), visiting with his amazing children, and generally being silly and enjoying life. After he moved to Arizona we'd stay in touch and we always made time for each other when he would visit Syracuse.
One time when our paths were crossing in Las Vegas, I had the honor to meet his parents, Carole and Jim and we all had lunch together; it's a cherished memory of mine. Earlier this year my partner and I had dinner with Adam, and his two girls; it was important to me that my partner meet my 'brother' and we had the best time.
I reflect on the most beautiful text message Adam sent me recently, about how he was so happy I had found someone, that he would be there for me through thick and thin, and that he would always be there to support me if I needed it. I appreciated that so much.
His passing is devastating to me, but I know he's at peace and he will always be in my heart. I love you Adam, and I will miss you dearly. Love, Stefania.

What I remember most about Adam, beyond the countless examples of his kind and gentle spirit, is how much he loved his children and wanted, more than anything, to have more time with them.

I have known Adam since he was about 12 and there was no kinder person in the world. He always had such a positive attitude even through the pain he was experiencing. He love the Lord so we find comfort in knowing he is celebrating this Thanksgiving with his grandparents and his Heavenly Father with no pain.
The world was a better place when Adam was here so he will be missed terribly by all that knew him especially his parents Jim and Carole. ((hugs to you))
Adam was priceless and I am blessed to have known him,
Vickie Mayer
