Philip Irving Perkins February 5, 1935 – November 2. 2023 Philip Irving Perkins, known to his friends as “Pappy” and to his grandchildren as “Bumpa”, passed away on November 02, 2023, at the age of 88 in Avista Senior Living Center in Lake Havasu City, Arizona with family by his side. Philip was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on February 05, 1935, to parents Alexander Perkins and Flora Shaw. Philip enlisted in the US Navy in 1952 and served our country for eight years until he was honorably discharged on September 17, 1960. After his discharge, he worked for Easton Die and Androscoggin Die Co. in Auburn, Maine as well as a volunteer firefighter in Oxford, Maine. Philip married his loving wife Frances A. (MacNeill) Perkins on September 18,1954 in Lynn, Massachusetts and were married for 68 wonderful years. Philip lived in Lynn, Massachusetts and several towns in Maine. Mostly Oxford and South Paris, Philip and Frances share 6 children. Philip Perkins Jr (Janice) of Oxford, ME., James Perkins (Maxine) of Auburn, ME., David Perkins, William Perkins (Allison) of Lake Havasu City, AZ., Beverly Farrington (Bruce) of Lake Havasu City, AZ., and Mary Jane (Donald) Vachon of Sabattus, ME. Philip enjoyed spending time with family, watching football, baseball, and watching The Western Chanel. Philip was a member of the Oxford Fire Department Auxiliary in Oxford, Maine, Anderson Staples American Legion Post #112, the Order of Eastern Star in Buckfield and in Mexico, Maine., and the Oxford Masons in Norway, Maine. Philip is preceded in death by his wife; Frances, his parents; Alexander and Flora, son; David Perkins, and his three sisters. He is survived by his children; Philip Jr, James, William, Beverly, and Mary Jane, his 13 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren whom he all loved dearly. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz Fraze Funeral Home.
