STANLET JOSEPH LOVETT November 26, 1945 - August 20, 2012 Born in Pasadena, CA Started coming to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1952 fishing off Road Ends Camp, Boy Scouts, water polo and surfing occupied his youth. Met his second wife, Shirley in 1976 moving to San Clemente, CA. Stanley fished and sailed the sea, owned a courier service and tee-shirt company and worked at Ace Hardware. Stan, as he was known by his family and friends, moved to Yucca Valley, CA in 1982 worked at National Lumber & Ace also designed a hand tool "Survivor Driver". Down time was hiking in Joshua Tree National Monument and with JOSAR Search & Rescue in Technical rock rescue. Every year he shared their Anniversary in the Tinnemaha Camp Ground near Big Pine, CA dry camping. In 1991 Stan moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ, just felt right he claimed. He learned a new trade in Pest Control, assisted with the Havasu Classic Boat events and loved fishing Havasu's beautiful lake. In 1999 he started Stan the Bugman Pest Control with support of his wife. He was known for his loving humorous wit. His cats attest to that. Stan was smitten to Jeopardy questions, loved to read, crossword puzzles and making barb wire art. Stan's favorite come back to all who said, "Well I never knew that" was "Well now you're old enough". Yes, dumbed "Stan the Bug Man", he knew his bugs. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Shirley Alexina Lovett-Waldorf; mother-in-law Alexina Susan B. Leichtner; daughters Lori Lynn Ahumada and Christa Richardson; brother Roger A. Lovett (Catherine); grandsons Michael Anthony Lovett, Parker A. Rivera and Blake Richardson; niece Mandy Lynn; nephews Roger A. Lovett Jr., Michael Scott and Robert Vernon and preceded in death his parents Donald Vernon and Edith Irene Lovett. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
