TJ you will be missed. Thank you so much for filling this world with your humor, kindness, and love. They don't make them like you much anymore. Your humor was so appreciated and often reflected in life. Your kindness made someone feel important and love. And the love was one of the best gifts, ever. The best memories of TJ were his answering machine messages, his phone calls that often happened during a football game, and his love of making everyone laugh. The times being in his company often left me wanting more stories, and more time. And just how hearing his voice could make someone smile. TJ we will miss you lots and we will remember you as an amazing father, grandpa, and friend. Your heart which was amazingly big and beautiful will be missed. Much love!!

TJ and I first met as freshman at Plains Memorial High back in Pennsylvania. We immediately developed a friendship that lasted until graduation in 1962. Following graduation we went our separate ways, TJ was off pursuing his fortune in the dry cleaning world, I joined the USAF and was off to such places as Libya and Vietnam. We completely lost touch with each other.
Then, in early 1980 TJ appeared at my home in Santa Rosa, CA. He had tracked me down! I had no idea TJ was living in Southern California.
We immediately reestablished our friendship. We visited each other several times and we made trips back to Plains on a few occasions. We made numerous phone calls through the ensuing years.
To say TJ was less than enthused when our high school was forced to merge with Coughlin, our rival, is an understatement. TJ was not a fan of anything associated with Wilkes-Barre. He was the quintessential boy from Plains!
TJ, Rest In Peace. I know you're looking down on us from Heaven, smiling and watching the Eagles. I will miss you dearly.

Tom was such a special guy, so full of love, enthusiasm, and life. His love for Plains, Ford cars, the Eagles, and of course his boat and boating. When we talked on the phone, of course it would end up being at least an hour conversation full of laughter and wonderful memories. I don’t know his family but I do know how much he loved all of you. I’m sure you will truly miss him as will all of his friends. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Mary Ann (Mariucci) Stopay
