Mark D. Steiner
Mark was born on January 28th, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and left us on October 5th, 2023, after a valiant battle with heart complications.
Mark graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1969. He was a dedicated professional, having owned and operated Wisconsin Electronic in Fond du Lac, WI before continuing his career at Electronic Industries in Oshkosh until his well-earned retirement in 2012. Mark spent his retirement working on many house projects, traveling, and enjoying time with family and friends.
Throughout his life, Mark was an active member of various organizations, including the Fraternal Order Eagles Post 270, Am Vet Post 19, Moose Lodge Post 1860, American Legion Post 60, Red Arrow Club, and Elks Club 4998.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Allender) Steiner of Fort Mohave, AZ, and her son, Alex (Jess Kahlow) Allender of Fond du Lac, WI. He leaves behind his mother, Dorothy Scherck of North Fond du Lac, WI, his brother, Terry (Roberta) Scherck and son, Devin Sherck of Fond du Lac, WI, and his sister, Jean (Mark) Fahning of Savage Minnesota and children, Dillon (Makala) of Fargo, ND and Claire of Savage, MN. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Diane Steiner of Eden, WI. Mark will also be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Mary (Tom) Tynan of Las Vegas, NV, and Patty (Steve) Togerson of North Fond du Lac, WI.
Mark's journey was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Steiner, and his siblings, Jane and John Steiner, as well as his step-father, Harold (Peppy) Scherck, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and Mira (the best dog).
Mark is also survived by many great friends; his warm smile and welcoming demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A celebration of his life will be held in the summer in Fond du Lac, WI.
