SCOTT A. TIMPANY
Scott A. Timpany passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 63. Scott or Scooter as he was known to his family and friends was born on April 23, 1949 in Janesville, WI to William and Phyllis (Baird) Timpany.
Following graduation from High School Scott joined the United States Navy serving his country for 20 years. His Navel experiences in the Pacific ranged from the riverboats in Vietnam to being stationed on the aircraft carrier, Hornet, assigned to retrieve the Apollo XI astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins following their landing on the moon in July, 1969.
After his military service, Scott returned to California where he studied computer repair and taught diesel mechanics and he was a claims investigator for a couple years before relocating to Lake Havasu City, AZ 26 years ago "because they don't have snow shovels and they don't need lawn mowers". Scott was very creative and was known by all for his"Lazy and Logical" solutions to problems.
He had a big heart and many good friends, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Scott is survived by his brother Chuck Miller of Prior Lake, MN; his niece Nicole Miller of Minneapolis, MN and his step-mother Maggie Timpany of Glendale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Phyllis, his sister Patricia Broderson and Ucle Jerry Baird.
