Obituary of Hortencia Moreno Tanner

Hortencia Moreno Tanner,passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 85 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born in Pirtleville, AZ on June 29, 1938 to Guadalupe Pacheco Hernandez and Hortencia Hernandez Tanner (Moreno). Hortencia. She worked for Havasu Regional Medical Center as an O.B. Technician for 26 years. She married her lovely husband on February 5, 1955. Hortencia enjoyed baking wedding cakes, making tamales, quilting and sewing. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a catechism instructor. She was a member of the St. Monicas Guild and Catholic Daughters. Hortencia is preceded in death by her husband Donald Tanner Sr. her parents; Guadalupe and Hortencia Tanner, and her four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sons Donald and Ruben Tanner, her daughter Connie Wick, her brother Joseph, sisters Margaret, Katy and Esparanza. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The Rosary will take place Our Lady of The Lake on September 9, 2023 at 12:45 pm with the service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the local police and fire department. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz Fraze Funeral Home.
