Obituary of John Howard Russell

October 26, 1960-July 12, 2023 John Howard Russell passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 62 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born in St Paul, MN on October 26, 1960 to George Edmund Russell III and Patricia McKendrick. In 1966 his family moved to Santa Ana, California. John attended High School at Valley High. He owned J&R Truck & Auto. He was self employed from 1988-2000. He retired from AmeriGas in 2021. He married his wife, Rhonda Russell, on September 9, 1990 and in 1993 they moved to Lake Havasu City AZ. John was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed restoring Harley Davidsons and building world class racing engines. John studied to be a master mechanic in Automobile, Motorcycle and Heavy Truck and Equipment. John is preceded in death by his Father; George Edmund Russell III, and his brothers Scott B. Russell and George P. Russell. He is survived by his mother Patricia “Pat”McKendrick; ex-wife and loving mother of his children Rhonda Russell, his daughters Alen Hooper-Downing and Sara Russell; his sons John Russell Jr. and Harley John Russell. His brother Randall Russell and his sisters Julie Reichman-Rice, Elizabeth"Libby" Russell and Laura Tanielu. John is also survived by 6 grandchildren. The family will be having a "Celebration of Life" on Thursday July 27th at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home from 4pm-6pm.
