Obituary of Steven Kenneth Owensby

Steven Kenneth Owensby was born on April 24, 1949 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Kenneth Owensby and Effie Mae Bennett. On May 24, 2023 Steven passed away in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Steven married his first wife, Cherry Ann and had 2 children. Son, Mike, and daughter, Bridget. Throughout his life, Steven was a machinist, a truck driver, and a golf instructor. He resided in Knoxville, TN., Gainesville, GA., Thomasville, GA., Orlando, FL., and settled in Lake Havasu City, Az. On July 10, 2016, Steven married Debra Baken in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. They have been married for 7 wonderful years. Steven was a member of ELKS, Eagles, and the Lake Havasu Golf Course. Steven enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He very much enjoyed golf, fishing, going to yard sales, watching Sci-fi and action movies, and absolutely loved vacationing at his second home in Idaho. He is survived by his wife Debra, his children, Mike, George, Bridget, Erin, and Ashlee. His brother, Dana Owensby, and his 12 loving grand-children, Jake, Savana, Jessica, Alexandria, George, Sophie, Cooper, Emma, Joe, James, George, and William. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Sox, who is an 11 month Labrador and Boxer mix which he adopted during a poker game. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cherry Ann Owensby, Parents, Kenneth and Effie Owensby, his brother, Ron Owensby, and sister, Cathy Griffis. Also, his beloved dogs, Gigi who was a 15-year-old Shih Tzu and Princess, a 12-year-old Bichon Frise. Steven will be dearly missed by his wonderful family and friends.
